I'd like to keep 2 full backup only, so how is it that my oldest backups are never deleted ?

This should be explained in the Help under Options/Engine... but it isn't. There is a global option to PARK the first backup. A parked backup has a flag icon next to it in the History pane. A parked backup cannot be deleted until you unpark it (see right-click menu). Parking your first known good backup is a security measure in case something comes alongs and cycles through to corrupts all subsequent backups. A parked backup is not counted in the backup counts. Free Parking is just another brilliant Cobian feature.

Tanks for your answer, but I want 2, I get backups until my HD is full. The log says that the backup is deleted but it is not !

Well, it works so something is up at your end.

The Cobian service user needs permission to delete from the destination.

The Cobian History db needs to be intact and not scrambled by multiple setup attempts.

The task needs to be set for 2 full backups (you'll get 3 sets with parking), plus incr/differentials.

Create a new simple task to backup one file/folder manually using separated backups. Set it for 2 fulls and a full every 2 backups. Run it manually and see if it cycles. If it doesn't remove the stale backup sets as expected, turn on verbose logging and run it some more to get some clues.

Latest version installed?

All I can think of is that the Cobian user does not have rights to delete files. Are the History entries removed? Does verbose logging suggest anything?

OK, I have just installed the very last version and it works !

Sorry but the 'automatically check for new versions' case is disabled because it causes some problems.
